A focus on fundraising

Lung Foundation Australia’s fundraising events promote community involvement, increase awareness of the importance of lung health and raise vital funds to support the work we do and to support research. Even if you are unable to participate, we encourage you to let your family and friends know about them.

Register in our Corporate Cycle Challenge – Brisbane, 14 July

Lung Foundation Australia is calling on groups of friends and colleagues to help raise much needed funding for lung disease research and register for our Corporate Cycle Challenge. Teams of five are encouraged to sign-up for the unique four hour cycle challenge and to raise as much funds as they can by encouraging friends, family and colleagues to sponsor their team. Register now and help us improve the lives of the 1 in 4 Australians living with a chronic respiratory disease. We are delighted to announce that Novartis have come on board as the Event Sponsors and all money raised from this team challenge event will go towards the Lungs for Life research program. For further information or to register please visit or phone 1800 654 301.

Save the date for the Lung Foundation Australia Annual Gala Dinner – Sydney, 21 October

This year, the Annual Lung Foundation Australia Gala Dinner will take place in the Maritime Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney with views over Darling Harbour, a great menu and the opportunity to bid on some fantastic prizes in our auction. We thank our Premier Sponsors, Boehringer Ingelheim and Pfizer for helping us stage this prestigious event.

Our Lung Hero Evangeline’s Gold Coast Shine a Light on Lung Cancer walk proves a winner
More than 130 people took to the Sanctuary Cove pavement in March in support of Gold Coast businesswomen and lung cancer survivor, Evangeline Lim’s Shine a Light on lung cancer walk to help raise awareness and much-needed funding for lung cancer research. Evangeline’s generous family and friends were out in full force in a sea of green shirts to raise awareness about this deadly disease. Evangeline raised over $8,100 toward lung cancer research.
