COPD-Asthma overlap paper

Many adults have features of both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This is described as asthma–COPD overlap. Asthma–COPD overlap should be considered in adults when they have a history of asthma or have asthma-like symptoms, and spirometry before and after bronchodilator shows expiratory airflow limitation that is not completely reversible.

This information paper provides evidence-based information about the clinical presentation, prevalence, diagnosis and treatment of asthma-COPD overlap.
